Details
Will and Grace was a groundbreaking television series that not only entertained through its unbridled comedy but enlightened as well. Will and Grace was the first network television program gay characters in dominate roles. The leading male character on the program, Will, was a homosexual lawyer whose best friend, Grace, was a somewhat frustrated heterosexual woman ... and they were best friends.
Through Will and Grace season 1 – 8 television viewers were treated to the never ending antics of Will and Grace as well as their partners in comedy – Karen and Jack. While the characters tended towards the outrageous, they were also compelling in their likability. Additionally, despite the fact that (as a viewer of the Will and Grace complete set readily will see) the show was a rowdy romp on many occasions, there were also important issues addressed along the way. These issues transcended those attached to sex and sexuality.
The Will and Grace box set provides a fan of the show with all of the episodes that made this series great – both in popularity and in critical acclaim. Will and Grace on DVD provides a unique walk down memory lane, including a number of specific episodes that literally caused the removal of certain societal boundaries and that resulted in a better understanding of people from different walks of life.
Above all else, the Will and Grace box set is designed to entertain. From the seemingly straight laced Will (a gay man but far from wild) to the hyper-sensitive Grace to the bawdy Karen to the completely self centered Jack, the characters in the Will and Grace complete set are memorable as much for the positive characteristics as for their abundant flaws.
Beyond the fine comedic acting that is found in Will and Grace season 1 – 8, the writing of the programs themselves also garnered significant attention through the years. Additionally, as a viewing of Will and Grace on DVD readily reveals, the show attracted many of the major actors and other celebrities during its time on television. Big names in Hollywood vied to be included as guests on the show throughout its original run. Indeed, regular viewers of the program were constantly anticipating which major star would be making a guest appearance on an upcoming episode of Will and Grace ... all of which is not preserved on the Will and Grace complete DVD set.
