House, M.D.: Seasons 1-7 Collection

House is one of the more unique television shows being broadcast today and certainly one – if not the – most unique medical drama ever produced. The show premiered on the Fox television network – which has garnered a reputation through the years for broadcasting cutting edge shows – in November of 2004. In addition to first run episodes of the show being broadcast on Fox, the show also now airs in re-runs and in syndication. Dr. House works on the staff of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. He is constantly in conflict – very serious conflict – with the administration of the hospital, his co-workers and his patients. With all that said, as can be seen on current run episodes and in the episodes contained in the House box set, he has an amazing ability to diagnose patients. Dr. House is able to diagnose ailments, diseases, conditions and so forth that other doctors have completely failed to identify. In any episode of House, contained on the House complete seasons DVD collection box set or airing as a first run episode, Dr. House can be seen saving lives. Some have even gone so far as to describe Dr. House as being the Sherlock Holmes of the medical community. Despite his prowess in diagnosing patients, his bed side manner is deplorable, to say the least. Moreover, by all accounts Dr. House has a substance abuse problem that impacts all areas of his life ... except his ability to identify what is ailing his patients. Throughout its lifetime, House has received a number of awards. Moreover, it remains one of the most critically acclaimed dramas on television today. As an aside, it is important to make note that while classified as a drama, House also has a great deal of humor in each episode – making those episodes in the House box set well worth a viewing. Thanks to its interesting plot lines, intriguing characters and fine acting, House is likely to remain one of the most widely and highly regarded shows on television – and the House box set one of the most briskly selling DVD collections on the market at this point in time.
